An Unexpected Beginning

I never expected that I would ever start a blog. But at the same time, I never expected to have a small collection of vintage cameras. However, after my aunt died, we found a few interesting cameras--being the only person in the family interested in photography, they became mine.

While I normally shoot digital, these old cameras started a new interest in film. Living in New York City, decent black and white film processing can be prohibitively expensive. So after a little research, I realized I can develop film in my apartment. The rest, as they say, is history.

So that is the back story. This blog will be the companion to my portfolio website, and feature some of my more personal and experimental work. Mostly film, mostly developed by me, and mostly shot on a recently purchased used Nikon FE. And yes, I do have a couple of rolls of Kodachrome that I am looking forward to shooting in the near future.
